Session Location Options
Throughout my 12 year career as a family and newborn photographer in Marin and San Francisco, I have photographed families almost everywhere in the Bay! I have chosen my absolute favorite locations for families and maternity sessions and made some notes about them below. Please choose one of them for your session and we can firm up the timing of your session based on that location.

North Marin
Woods and Bridge
This location is in a beautiful wooded location with a little bridge in North Marin. Location is immediately off the parking lot with minimal walking.
Foliage is consitent throughout the year, with a few weeks of fall leaves in late fall.
Sessions at this location begin 1.5 hours prior to sunset.
This location is good for families of any size and maternity.
Grasses and Trees
This location is located on a hillside in North Marin.
In the summer there are beautiful golden grasses, in the late spring everything is green and lush, while in the fall the grasses are shorter and more subdued. This location has mature trees and a tiny little bridge which is great for little ones! This location is not available during the late winter/early spring.
Sessions here begin 1 hr before sunset.
This location is good for families of any size and maternity.
Marin Hills
This location is located on a hillside in Novato in North Marin.
There are mature trees, open hills, tall grasses at all times of the year and beautiful rock formations.
This location changes seasonally and is not available during some winter months.
Sessions here begin 45 minutes before sunset.
This location is good for families of any size and maternity.
South Marin/San Francisco
Redwood Grove
This redwood grove has a little waterfall, bridge and trail and the most beautiful trees.
This location is fully protected, so it’s great on days when other locations might be too windy.
The trail is right off of the parking area. Since it can get dark in the redwoods, sessions here will be mid-afternoon.
This location is good for families of any size and maternity.
Golden Gate Bridge
This South Marin location is a fan favorite with anyone who wants a Golden Gate Bridge view.
It has Presidio-like buildings, a large lawn, a tree grove and of course, the bridge.
This location can get chilly, but if you are willing to bundle up and lean into the sometimes windy conditions, it can really pay off! Sessions here begin 1 hr prior to sunset.
This location is good for families of any size and maternity.
Presidio
Lush and green, this location has trees, a path, tree trunks to jump or sit on and ice plants that make for stunning portraits. This location has easy parking and is a short walk from the lot.
Sessions here begin 1.5 hours before sunset.
This location is good for families of any size and maternity.
